Angela Murphy's Bio
Home, family, and friendship are what I value most and what inspires me to help my clients. I grew up in a house where people gathered to eat, laugh, and talk about their lives. I know how important it is to help clients get not only the right features, but also the feeling that they are looking for in a home. The relationships with my buyers and sellers mean the world to me and this has always been the driving force of my success.
My previous experience as a business owner, has taught me to combine business savvy strategies with integrity and compassion – I go to great lengths to make sure that my clients are happy with their real estate experience. Some clients know exactly what they want in a house and they value a very transactional process. Others know the main features they want but need someone to listen and help them figure out the subtle features that make all the difference in how they will feel in their home.
For example, I once worked with first time home buyers for several months because they wanted something very rare and unique in a house and they didn’t know what it was at first. I listened carefully and came to understand what they were looking for even more than they did. When the perfect house came on the market, I told them to drop everything and come see it. They loved it and made an offer immediately. Now, they stay in touch, have referred their friends, and are very happy in their home.
Another client, Hanna, was nervous about relocating after 25 years. It was a very emotional process. Each week, I helped her with the business aspects of selling her home, and took extra time to discuss the emotions that were coming up for her as well. Getting out her feelings helped her move on and embrace the next phase of her life in a beautiful new place and she is very happy now.
My work gives me a sense of purpose in that I get to help people with one of the most important decisions of their life. Seeing how happy they are when it all works out is very fulfilling. I feel blessed to be able to do this work.
